The Universal Basic
Education (UBE)

The Universal Basic Education (UBE) Act which was passed into Law in 2004 was adopted by Kaduna State in 2005 by enacting a law on 2nd June, establishing the Kaduna State Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB) via Edict No.5, amended as No.8 of May 2009, with the principal objective of providing Free and Compulsory Basic Education. Since then much input has been made to date with a lot of achievements realized. Kaduna State Universal Basic Education Board (KDSUBEB), which is the principal body charged with the responsibility of delivering Basic education has its vision, mission, core values, and benchmarks.
