The Permanent Member, Human Resources, Dr. Christy Ayi Alademerin who represented the Executive Chairman, Mubarak Mohammed formally declared the close of a five day intensive training programme on digital literacy for 52 selected teachers drawn from three pilot schools, one representing each senatorial zone of Kaduna State.
The capacity building workshop, which commenced on April 27 and concluded on May 1, 2026, was held at the Kaduna State University Distance Learning Centre.
In her closing remarks, Dr. Alademerin commended the participants for their dedication, active engagement, and commitment throughout the training period. She urged them to cascade the knowledge and skills acquired to their colleagues in their respective schools, as well as to their pupils, in order to broaden the impact of the initiative. According to her, the success of the programme lies not only in participation but in the practical application and dissemination of the knowledge gained.
She further disclosed that mechanisms have been put in place for follow-up activities and impact assessments, aimed at monitoring the implementation process and evaluating the effectiveness of the training at the classroom level.
This, she noted, would ensure that the objectives of enhancing digital competence among teachers and improving teaching outcomes are fully realized.
Dr. Alademerin also reaffirmed that the administration of the Executive Governor of Kaduna State, Senator Dr. Uba Sani, remains steadfast in its commitment to continuous professional development for teachers. She emphasized that investing in teachers’ capacity, particularly in digital skills, is critical to strengthening the quality of education and preparing learners for the demands of a rapidly evolving, technology driven world.
